You know how sometimes in life you need to choose a different path from the one you usually take? Well, I got that experience, just literally, the morning I went to photograph nature in Spring.
Won’t lie. Standing in front of these sunrays felt amazing. Felt special. Pure dopamine boost. I was drawn towards them from the dark part of the forest I often go for a stroll. They enlightened everything around them. The feeling of the warm glow hitting your face in the early morning is special, like bliss. And going into this pocket of light felt like I was going through some portal into a different dimension.
I went through this small part of the forest that I go to so rarely. One of the reasons for that is that the pretty grown vegetation there is often highly saturated with humidity due to morning dew. But I didn’t care about that this time. Even though I knew my ‘’waterproof’’ shoes were not going to do the job, as they didn’t, I needed to fulfil my curiosity of seeing how the light interacts with the rest of the trees and nature. As the light was changing rapidly I was rushing myself to get most of it in terms of photography. I didn’t get as many photos as I wanted but with the ones I did, I’m delighted.
It’s an understatement to say how happy I am to be there to photograph this rare moment for me. Especially as it only lasted for a couple of minutes. I’ve heard a lot of times from professionals that good photos usually don’t need much editing. This photo has the simplest edit there is. It all went naturally. And that is probably why I like it so much. Simple photograph in every sense, yet powerful when viewing. You can almost say magical.
