Nerja - Cueva de Nerja - a photo on Flickriver

            Cueva de Nerja - it's team of caves located in the Sierra de Almijara. The complex has a total of 7219 m long, and consists with the galleries situated in three levels  . It was discovered by chance in1959  by a group of boys looking for bats.
The cave was inhabited by people from approx. 25 thousand. years BC, initially only episodically. From approx. 21 thousand years BC settlement takes permanent, are the first cave paintings. In the caves there are numerous infiltrations, including largest stalagmite of world's  with a height of 32 meters.

Cueva de Nerja – to zespół jaskiń położony w górach Sierra de Almijara. Kompleks liczy łącznie 7219 m długości, i składa się z położonych na trzech poziomach galerii. Został odkryty przypadkiem w1959 roku przez grupę chłopców szukających nietoperzy.
Jaskinia była zasiedlona przez ludzi od ok. 25 tys. lat p.n.e., początkowo jedynie epizodycznie. Od ok. 21 tys. lat p.n.e. osadnictwo przyjmuje charakter stały, pojawiają się pierwsze malowidła naskalne. W jaskiniach znajdują się liczne nacieki, w tym największy na świecie stalagmit o wysokości 32 metrów.
