TransNamib 33 489 Rovos Rail Nonidas

            Das südafrikanische Reiseunternehmen Rovos Rail fährt mit seinen eigenen Luxuszügen mehrfach im Jahr auch von Südafrika nach Namibia. In den 18 Wagen des edlen Zuges haben maximal 72 Reisende Platz. Am 08.11.2019 übernahm die TransNamib 33-489 (GE U20C) die Überführung einer Rovos Rail-Garnitur von Swakopmund nach Mariental, während die Gäste per Bus durch die Weiten der Namib-Wüste gefahren wurden. Die Aufnahme entstand zwischen den Ausweichen Nonidas und Namib.

Rovos Rail is a South African travel company who owns and operates various luxury trains. Several times a year a Rovos Rail train also runs to Namibia. The luxury train with his 18 coaches has a capacity for not more than 72 guests. At November 8th 2019 TransNamib 33-489 (GE U20C) hauls an empty train from Swakopmund to Mariental. In the meantime the passengers travel by bus through Namib desert. The picture is made between the sidings of Nonidas and Namib.
