Peyto Lake ( Explored ) - a photo on Flickriver

            Peyto Lake is named after Bill Peyto, an early guide in the park back in the early 1900s. Unique glacier-fed waterway. It’s fed by the Peyto glacier and has a max depth of around 90m. Throughout the summer months, glacier rock flour flows into the lake which gives the water it’s well known bright colourful turquoise water & scenic beauty. Peyto Lake sits at 1880m in elevation in the Canadian Rockies. 
Peyto Lake is a stunning lake that can be found in Banff National Park, which itself resides in the picturesque Canadian Rockies. The lake is notable for its dazzling blue colour, and has been the subject of many pictures because of just how mesmerising it looks. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the lake is surrounded by beautiful Canadian mountains.
