Beauty is in the eye of the beholder DSC_1611

            View from just above Glengoyne distillery, looking towards Loch Lomond and the Arrochar Alps. I was working on the idea of art as a concept (think of Magritte's pipe) but this beauty concept worked out, so here we are. 

I've been trying to develop a technique of light painting where I use a pinhole to paint part of a scene through a lens onto the camera sensor. For this, I use a pinhole in a large piece of card that I can move about while the shutter is open. I've tried searching online for this method and haven't come up with anything, but I can't believe no one else has tried this out. This particular shot meant hiking up a hill with my daughter. On finding this view, I focussed the lens and opened the shutter, holding the pinhole still for half a second before wiggling it. 

In PP, I had to edit the blackpoint and other sliders a fair bit as the pinhole method isn't exact, I've also cropped down and added a bit of vignette to the bottom edge.
