Eternal Life

            The light behind him represents God, God is light, in him there is no darkness. 1 John 1:5   His light, his Truth, of what Christ did on the Cross, shines into our darkness, our fog of understanding.  My friend David is standing on rock.  The rock of Christ.  Our Salvation is secure, giving us a firm foundation.  And the shadow of the Cross, how God sees us in his Everlasting Light.
And the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, is in our hearts confirming what Christ has done for us so that we can stand.  Transforming our hearts and minds causing us to know his perfect will, this perfect Salvation.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of DARKNESS, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.(seeing the Truth) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels,(eternal life) that the excellency of the power(saving power) may be of God, and not of us. 

II Corinthians 4:6-7
