Repatriated Visitor - a photo on Flickriver

            On a damp and gloomy morning GWR 4079 "Pendennis Castle" leaves Brooksbottom Viaduct and is about to enter the tunnel with the first train of the day, 09:50 Heywood to Rawtenstall.
Having been owned by Hamersley Iron in Australia for 23 years the loco returned to the UK in 2000 and the Didcot Railway Centre completed it's restoration to full working order in April 2022.
