Im Jahr 1998 fand die Kultur-Expedition "In 80 Tagen um den Napf" statt. Dabei spielte ein aus ausrangiertem, aber noch einsatzbereitem Rollmaterial gebildeter Zug die Hauptrolle. Er machte rund um den Napf an 10 verschiedenen Stationen jeweils einige Tage Aufenthalt. Das Bild vom 2. Mai 1998 zeigt den abfahrbereiten Zug in Wasen i.E., wo er seit dem 23. April stationiert war.

In 1998, the cultural expedition "In 80 days around the Napf" took place. The main role was played by a train made up of discarded but still operational rolling stock. It stopped for a few days at each of 10 different stations around the Napf. The picture from 2 May 1998 shows the train ready to depart from Wasen i.E., where it had been stationed since 23 April.
