Straight Out of the Midwest - a photo on Flickriver

            With the Talgo VIs scrapped, the Amtrak Cascades have been running mostly with Horizon cars, sandwiched between Cascades-liveried SC-44s and NPCUs. 

Phase V NPCU 90250 has been in the rotation for most of a decade now (though it was the unit that had the Seahawks wrap for a while), which meant that, with the addition of a now-rare P42DC, an entire national-liveried Cascades set could be established. 

This finally happened this week and it has been captive to the Seattle-Vancouver 'day' round trip, seen here passing Clark's Point on its way north. 

While it looks somewhat out of place, it was nice to get a unified set.
