Of dust and the river - a photo on Flickriver

            The great migration crosses the Mara River, Kenya.

A photo judge who obviously doesn't get out very much marked this image down severely due to the slight blueish tint of the leaping bull. Must be a chromatic defect, right?  I sat there feeling helpless and frustrated, restrained by the ethos of silence for all but the judges. 

What I wanted to explain was that this species' common name is . . . the Blue Wildebeest.  And for good reason :)
