            In a great stroke of railfan luck I was working the engineer position of one of BNSF Watson yard "shuttle" jobs in summer '02 when sent over to the new MAERSK facility at Pier 400 in the Port of Los Angeles to move around some units for the MAERSK company photographer. Both BNSF's and NS special MAERSK painted units were on hand as well as five well cars full of MAERSK containers for photographs. In all of BNSF's wisdom their unit was non operative while NS was a good unit and when MAERSK asked to put their favored BNSF unit in the lead someone told them it couldn't e done since it was a non operative unit. When they asked me about it no problem. After setting over the NS unit and having the MAERSK crew move the dead unit over on top with a track mobile we commenced an afternoon of having Terminal Island all to ourselves for photos here and there as most of the facilities on the island were not yet operating. "Believe it or Not"
