Circle of Lebanon, Highgate Cemetery, London, England

            By far the architectural highlight of Gothic Highgate Cemetery is the Circle of Lebanon: It's a circular structure of twenty Egyptian-styled mausoleums built around the roots of an ancient Cedar of Lebanon tree, from which the Circle gets its name. The tree pre-dates the Cemetery by a long margin. The mausoleums here were sold and started being used in the 1830s.
