A night in the trees - a photo on Flickriver

            “I wonder if you can find something a little different?”

That was the question posed when we discussed an Airbnb for the three nights we’d be spending in the Santa Cruz - Monterey area of California. She probably meant something on the ocean. She probably meant something near an attraction. She probably didn’t mean a treehouse that you had to climb a jury rigged ladder system to access the floor of your ‘room’ through a hatch. But without a seconds hesitation - or further thought - she said “yes.”

Thankfully so. It’s was an amazing experience - sleeping amongst the trees. 

We could see almost the entire Monterey Bay shoreline and were treated exceptionally well.  A huge thank you to Lago Lolita Vineyards for an incredible stay.
