            Fort-Dauphin (Madaghascar) - J’ai précédemment expliqué que malgré les apparences, la Baie d’Ambinanibé n’est plus tout à fait un paradis terrestre. Les rejets à la mer de la mine à ciel ouvert exploitée à proximité, sont responsables d’une pollution environnementale dont les conséquences sur la santé humaine sont désormais admises… Du bouts des lèvres.

Autrefois, devant un tel paysage on aurait pu envisager vivre ici d’amour et d’eau fraiche… Et d’un peu de poisson quand même !
Pour vivre d’amour, ça fonctionne toujours pour les populations locales. Une famille moyenne malgache est composée d’un minimum de 9 enfants. Pas question d’envisager la moindre régulation des naissances en raison du poids écrasant de la religion. Quant à l’eau fraiche, mieux vaut ne pas y songer, toutes les sources sont souillées. Boire de cette eau ; c’est la diarrhée chronique assurée. Il y a bien un puits construit par une ONG française qui pompe de l’eau dans une nappe phréatique à plus 15 mètres de profondeur, mais par manque d’entretien, elle est souvent en panne.
Alors quand le camion citerne vient distribuer de l’eau potable, c’est la fête au village. Ce camion géré par les services techniques de la ville de Fort-Dauphin a été offert par le Japon.
Pour résumer, mieux vaut venir dans la baie pour admirer le paysage et faire des photos, que pour y vivre.


Fort-Dauphin (Madaghascar) - I previously explained that despite appearances, Ambinanibé Bay is no longer quite an earthly paradise. Discharges into the sea from the open-air mine located nearby are responsible for environmental pollution, the consequences of which on human health are now admitted.
In the past, faced with such a landscape, we could have imagined living here on love and fresh water... And a little fish all the same!
To live on love, it always works for local populations. An average Malagasy family is made up of a minimum of 9 children. There is no question of considering any birth control due to the overwhelming weight of religion. As for fresh water, it is better not to think about it, all sources are dirty. Drink this water; it’s guaranteed chronic diarrhea. There is a well built by a French NGO which pumps water from a water table more than 15 meters deep, but due to lack of maintenance, it often breaks down.
So when the tanker truck comes to distribute drinking water, it’s a party in the village. This truck managed by the technical services of the city of Fort-Dauphin was offered by Japan.
To summarize, it is better to come to the bay to take photos than to live there.
