            Uppeveli (Sri-Lanka) - Remonter les filets sur la plage nécessite plusieurs heures d’un travail de force et beaucoup de main d’œuvre. Entre 20 et 30 personnes, selon la longueur du filet. Le propriétaire du filet fait appel aux habitants des villages environnants. Souvent, ils attendent sur la plage qu’on fasse appel à eux. Une fois le poisson remonté sur la plage, il est trié et les personnes qui ont proposé leurs muscles sont rémunérés en poissons.

Sharing the loot

Uppeveli (Sri-Lanka) - Raising the nets on the beach requires several hours of hard work and a lot of labor. Between 20 and 30 people, depending on the length of the net.
