Male orca off the bow - a photo on Flickriver

            We were fishing for salmon and so were other animals.  Once the orcas arrive there wasn't a bite to be had for us.  Salmon are smart enough to know when to flee.  This turned out to be an orca event, with small pods of orcas moving through this channel for a good 30-45 minutes.  No one had ever seen such an event before.
