A Goshen Turn enters Fresno Yard_16APR70

            A pair of Southern Pacific SW-1500s are on the point of the Goshen Turn as the train enters the south end of Fresno Yard beneath West Clinton Avenue.  The south yard herder has lined the switches and is walking back to the herder shed, SW1500s 2530 and 2531 provide power for today's train that ran south to Goshen and may have run out the branch toward Huron.  The Clinton Avenue overpass nicely frames the scene.  SW1500s are new in the fleet at this time (55 years ago) and have replaced GP9s and RS11s that once held down these assignments.
