In the verdant setting of Shukkei-en, a woman pauses for a moment on a vermilion bridge. Beneath the gentle shade of a Japanese parasol, the scene feels timeless: the stone lanterns, the lacquered wood, the trees shaped by tradition. Designed in the 17th century, this garden is a condensed world of miniature landscapes—mountains, rivers, valleys—inviting contemplation. Here, every detail is a fragment of Japanese poetry.
