1116 125 Maishofen

            Das Steinerne Meer liegt teils in Österreich, teils in Bayern. Der höchste Gipfel ist das Selbhorn (2655 m), hier aber nicht im Bild zu sehen. Das beeindruckende Gebirge eignet sich südlich Saalfelden auch gut als Motiv für Eisenbahnbilder. Der Bahnverkehr hier ist allerdings weniger beeindruckend. Es verkehrt stündlich ein Nahverkehrszug, überwiegend Triebwagen, einzelne Züge sind noch lokbespannt, hier aber Steuerwagen voraus. Einen brauchbaren Zug gibt es aber dennoch für dieses Motiv und zwar den EC 163 "Transalpin", der als einer der wenigen Fernzüge noch über die Giselabahn verkehrt und einen gemischten Wagenpark aus österreichischen und schweizer Wagen aufweist inklusive Panoramawagen. Am 05.02.2022 wurde er von 1116 125 gezogen.
