I think I’ve missed the last two—life gets busy!

With this flake, I’m back to catching them mid-air during snowfall rather than picking them up from the ground. It really does yield better results. More isolated flake, less debris, and a much higher chance that it's fully intact.

This particular flake caught my eye for the curious structure near its center. Not the very middle though it is neat, but those bare, spoke-like branches radiating out. Usually, the heart of a flake like this is densely built up, leaving little open space. It likely passed through different atmospheric conditions that altered its growth, creating this unique look.
