            Le epifite sono affascinanti piante della foresta pluviale di Daintree che sopravvivono senza radici nel terreno.
Hanno anche la capacità di intrappolare i nutrienti e immagazzinare la propria acqua.
Gli epifiti sono spesso supportati da piante ospiti.
Una delle epifite più importanti di questa foresta pluviale è la potente felce a canestro.
Felci come queste possono creare i propri ecosistemi con molte forme di vita che le utilizzano come casa.
Alcune rane trascorrono addirittura gran parte della loro vita nella chioma, senza mai raggiungere il suolo.

Epiphytes are fascinating Daintree rainforest plants that survive without roots in the ground.
They also have the ability to trap nutrients and store their own water.
Epiphytes are often supported by host plants.
One of the most important epiphytes of this rainforest is the mighty basket fern.
Ferns like these can create their own ecosystems with many life forms using them as homes.
Some frogs even spend much of their lives in the canopy, never reaching the ground.
