Living in Texas, you might think I'd be all about the country music, but actually, I'm pretty picky about it.. It's gotta be real.. I don't mind a little twang in your voice. Hell, I have a twang in my own.. But it has to be your natural twang, and a faker is easy to spot.

And the message has to be real too. And that's even easier to spot. There just isn't any substitute for the authentic music that springs out of any artist - or doesn't.. 

There's just no way to paint on the kinda patina that comes from years and years of tough wear and tear that real life leaves on a man, a woman, or an old bar like this one.. 

The cuts, scratches and dings have to be polished and burnished against the passing of time until they are worn smooth and as much a part of us as the bits we were born with..
