those Peterson boys... senior edition

            This is my granddad and his brothers - the ones mentioned in Mom's caption on the back. Since I have no idea which is which, other than Granddad, I'll assume Mom wrote about each in order left to right, and say this is Charles, Elmer, Frank, Chester, and Ben. 

And looking at their faces, I'd say that's probably who they are, wouldn't you? Funny the way people's names tend to fit, isn't it - considering parents have no idea what they will look like at birth..

Charles looks very formal, befitting someone who goes by "Charles" and not Charlie.. Elmer looks fittingly friendly, with that slight smile. Frank looks like a certain other 'Frank' - one with a brother named Jessie - and a little bit like Indiana Jones! Chester definitely looks like a Chester.. Hard and tough, although there may be a kind soul in there somewhere.. And Ben surely looks like a Ben.. Quiet, solitary, studious, even.. He looks like a man with a plan.
