111 057-6 S-Rail / smart rail I DGS 42883 I Vierkirchen (16127)

            Bisher kannte ich die unter Fotografen als "Smartieslok" bezeichnete 111 057-6 nur von Einsätzenvor Zügen des Urlaubsexpress in Richtung der Alpen. Folglich war die Freude groß, als am 11. Mai jene attraktive Lokomotive mit fabrikneuen Mercedes-Benz Wagen auf die lange Gerade bei Vierkirchen bog. Der in Sindelfingen startende Zug (DGS 42883) transportiert Automobile der C-Klasse via München nach Freilassing. Ab dort übernimmt die ÖBB den Zug, dessen endgültiges Ziel Koper Luka in Slowenien ist.

So far I only knew the 111 057-6, which photographers call "Smartieslok", from long-distance services in front of trains of "Urlaubsexpress" in the direction of the Alps. Thus, there was great joy when, on May 11, that attractive locomotive with brand-new Mercedes-Benz cars pulled onto the long straight near Vierkirchen. The train that starts in Sindelfingen (DGS 42883) transports C-Class automobiles via Munich to Freilassing. From there, ÖBB takes over the train whose final destination is Koper Luka in Slovenia.
