Wood Avens, Graig Road, Thornhill, Cwmbran 14 May 2024

            Beset by bluebells (Hyacinthoides non scripta), a wood avens  (Geum urbanum) growing in the hedge. It is also known as herb bennet; it is the food plant of the caterpillar of the grizzled skipper butterfly. I counted at least twenty walking along Graig Road.
