Grant Palmer Luton Timetable November 2003

            A leaflet issued by Grant Palmer themselves when still based at 20 Poynters Road, Luton for the start of the Luton 'Stoplinker' initiative in November 2003. Included is Services 3, 32, 202 and 231. Of the routes shown Service 3 is still operated by Grant Palmer and Service 231 is operated by Centrebus, successor of the 'InMotion' company mentioned on the leaflet. Service 32 ceased in August 2004 when Grant Palmer's Luton routes were recast. Subsequently Service 231 made a diversion several times a day up to Pepperstock Caravan Site whilst Aley Green was left to be served by Service 202 alone, which later ceased in 2014 having been latterly operated by Centrebus, it was replaced by a couple of journeys a day by South Beds Dial-a-Ride Service 62. The Luton Stoplinker was not a success even though it had a new vehicle purchased for it and a lot of money put towards it for publicity and new bus stop flags etc. It lasted less than a year before being withdrawn after consistently low passenger numbers and some negative publicity. The low floor Renault minibus purchased by Luton Borough Council for the route, RK53 AZV operated on the Council fleet for a short time before passing back to Grant Palmer for use on the revitalised 'Access Bus' services.
