LNER A4 CLASS 60009 "UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA" WITH THE ROYAL TRAIN

            The Royal Train on the new Borders Railway today. Hauled by John Cameron's A4 60009 "Union of South Africa", the Royal Train is taking HM The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh from Edinburgh (Waverley) along the new Borders Railway (formerly part of The Waverley Line), to Tweedbank for the official opening. Seen here north of Stow.
 (note Class 67 diesel loco 67026 "Diamond Jubilee" at the rear for the return trip as there are no turning facilities at Tweedbank for the steam loco).
