1959-’68 Ford Anglia 105E Drag-Racing Shell

            This Was The Body-Shell Of An Original British Ford Anglia 105E, Built From 1959-’68. I Believe The Colour Of This Car (Assuming It Was Original), Was “Lichen Green” (Albeit Dulled/Faded), Which Was A Colour Used Between 1959 And 1960, Which Would Make This A Very Early Model.

On Closer Inspection This Car Appears To Have Holes On The Side From Where The Stainless Steel Trim Used To Be, Making This Car Originally A “Deluxe” Edition – Which Was The Most Common Variant Of Anglia Produced. This Shell Was Fitted With A Custom Roll-Cage Inside The Car, Clearly-Prepped For Drag Racing Or The Rally Circuit! The Front Clip Was Missing, As Was The Driver’s Side Door, Plus Tail-lights, Side-Trim, A Few Interior Parts, Etc. But The Rest Of The Car Looked Pretty Sound And Solid, Complete With Clean Glass, Boot Lid Handle And What Seemed To be Just Minimal Surface Rust Around The Lower Sills And Usual Areas. Nowadays A Shell In This Condition Would Surely Fetch A Low-Four-Figure Sum On Ebay.

This Car Was Perched On The Top Of A Two-Story Pile Of Scrap In Woolhouse’s Scrap Yard (Near The Yard Entrance And Could Be Seen Directly From The Road) From Circa 1998 Through To The Year 2006, At Which Point It Had Suddenly Vanished.

I Really Wanted To Buy This Shell And Keep As My Own Project. Was Gutted That It Had Gone. This Is A Long-Shot, But Would Anyone Anywhere Know What Had Happened To This Shell? Seemed Way Too Good To Simply Crush For Scrap.
