Barn Find Morris Minor - a photo on Flickriver

Yet another Moggie Minor 1000 [ADO59]! Once again in a state of disrepair, surviving this far into the 21st century! This particular partially stripped 1950s/’60s 2-door saloon sits on a farm property in Ryedale, North Yorkshire with lots of spares and stripped parts scattered around, along with a black-on-white reissue registration plate (not pictured) - “7067 BP”, which recalls a West Sussex code, circa 1958, although I could be mistaken. The paint scheme looks like a faded shade of “Romaine Green”.

It never ceases to surprise me just how many Morris Minors are still sitting about in the corners of rural Yorkshire, kept as either ongoing project cars, or parts cars or both. Then again, with over 1.6 million Minors produced over a 23-year period, and a reputation for being “quite reliable (for the time)” and being a popular project car quite easy to source parts for, it makes sense then, that dilapidated examples still turn up, more than 50 years since the last one was built.
