Abellio | SK14SYY 2449 | E400H on the 289 | 15/07/23

On the 15th of July, the 289 finally had its life support switched on (albeit only between Elmers End and Croydon sadly), but either way, it was a welcome guest after suffering with the usual TH fleet for so long.

Battersea (QB) based SK14SYY 2449 ventured into new territory on the 289, which you can watch here, and the journey wasn't bad actually, especially when you compare it to the usual rust buckets it's allocated to which, in that case, even 9519 is an upgrade, which was the other abellio extra that day.

All of the extras which were on the 289 pretty much carried air from A to Z and vice versa throughout the day though, which you can even see in the video, but ah well.
