Ellie Rose UK 'Saffy' BX54 DLJ - a photo on Flickriver

            Another year, another post of old ‘Saffy’, who against all expectations, if I’m being honest, is still in the Ellie Rose fleet! Wow, I’d have thought they’d got rid of it when the Volvo/Wright singles came in. Suppose there's still a good demand for midis on the St. Mary's circuit. An early start this morning, while not plentiful in buses to see at this time, things went a little better this morning photo-wise, with this surprise spot enabling me to get the old Dart for the first time in nearly two years. With thanks to the driver for, I think, slowing down for me!

Ellie Rose UK's 'Saffy', a 2004 Plaxton Pointer 2 Dennis Dart SLF new to Travel London as their DP114, then 8314, latterly operating with M Travel of Longsight as their 31, the bus that, I believe, kicked the naming tradition off fleet-wide, is seen here running back to the Ellie Rose yard down Stoneferry after a run on the 941 from St. Mary's College.
