Ex-West Midlands Ambulance Service DU18 BGK

            After learning that this was, in fact, it, I got up to the so-called 'deviation site', ruing the organisers along the way and swearing that I wouldn't be doing this again (I probably will, to be honest) and began making up for lost time with the emergency service and coach turnout that was slowly, but surely departing the site. For an event of this calibre, it is slightly odd to find that the organisers have organised only two ambulances to follow the entire route of the Tour. More than two casualties and then it is an issue for the local ambulance services, then? Or maybe there are more stationed around the route I wouldn't have known about?

Anyway, one of two private ambulances seen departing at the 'deviation' site for the 2023 Tour of Britain came in the form of ex-West Midlands ambulance DU18 BGK, a 2018 O&H-bodied Fiat Ducato new to the West Midlands Ambulance Service as an ambulance numbered in the 46** block and now numbered '056' with a hiterto-unknown private owner.
