            Das Stadttor des Architekturbüros Petzinka, Overdiek und Partner mit 20 lichtdurchfluteten Etagen und fast 73 Metern Höhe war von 1999 bis 2017 als Landeshaus Amtssitz der nordrhein-westfälischen Ministerpräsidenten. Für die klimatisierende Doppelfassade des im Regierungsviertel in Hafennähe gelegenen Gebäudes wurden Glas, Stahl und Buchenholz eingesetzt. Ein richtiges Tor ist das Stadttor allerdings nicht. Vielmehr befindet sich zwischen den beiden mit Etagen durchzogenen „Pfeilern“ eine 65 Meter hohe HalleThe city gate by the Petzinka, Overdiek and Partner architectural firm with 20 light-flooded floors and almost 73 meters high was the official residence of the North Rhine-Westphalian Prime Minister from 1999 to 2017. Glass, steel and beech wood were used for the air-conditioning double facade of the building, which is located in the government district near the harbor. However, the city gate is not a real gate. Rather, there is a 65-meter-high hall between the two “pillars,” which are interspersed with floors.
