            We stopped at Newcomb's Ranch for a late lunch.  Although first reported as having burned in the Station Fire, to everyone's relief the old resort was saved. Drive up the Angeles Crest Highway and Mount Wilson Road to survey damage and early stages of recovery from the Station Fire of early September. Date: 4 December 2009.
