Rocky at Arnold - a photo on Flickriver

Rocky at Arnold

            Westbound Rocky Mountaineer train #609 slowly rolls through the curve at the west end of Arnold, near Chilliwack BC.  The train was fourth in a line of westbounds running nose to tail, each vying for their turn to get onto the double track at Sumas Mountain seven miles ahead.  Impeding this flow of traffic, was an equally long queue of eastbound trains, lining up to diverge from CN's Yale Subdivision, over to CP's Cascade Sub for their run up the 'directional running zone' through the Fraser and Thompson Canyons.
