Hexagons in Progress - a photo on Flickriver

            I've put together 3 panels of 3/4 inch hexagons for pillow cases.

The far left panel is from old silk ties left over from my tie skirt. The middle is civil-war era style scraps. The far right is bright florals (no repeats). I made them for the sake of making them, since I wasn't coming up with another worthwhile project. 

I now have to remove the basting so that I can trim and quilt them. It has taken months to get this far! Still deciding how to actually quilt them. Like batting or no batting? Or white flannel instead of batting? Hand quilted or machine quilted? We'll see!

Winter is settling in, and the pandemic continues. I'm grateful to have projects to work on for entertainment- and that I will have some beautiful pillow cases to photograph when spring (and maybe better times?) returns.

A Greasemonkey script that adds Flickriver links to various Flickr photo pages - user photos, favorites, pools etc, allowing to quickly open the corresponding Flickriver view.

Also, allows quickly viewing any Flickr photo on black background in large size.
