Comeback (Part 4/4) - a photo on Flickriver

            "The years passed. Falcis had roamed in many lands, trying to rally support for his cause, but the words of his nephew traveled faster than his horse. He was met by blank stares at best and challenged to duels at worst. Being the master swordsman that he was, these duels ended in his favor and his skills became even more honed.

Disturbing rumors reached him about the state of Avisia. Happiness, hospitality and justice was now a rare sight. The people were impoverished and starving, overtaxed on their livestock and land. Falcis pulled his cloak up over his head and began his march to set things right.

A dark gloom hung over the royal castle. The gold and marble had been stripped from the walls of the throne room and the royal falcon crest had been disfigured into its most predatory form. As Larus recognized the blue cloaked vagabond who had entered, he leapt from his throne, his sword in hand within seconds. Falcis stood like a statue, ready for whatever his foe might do next..."
