*** Climb the Mountain and Breathe the View (Kauai)

            Sometimes a mountain grows up to become a View to be admired from the distance like Kilimanjaro or Mt Baker. While other mountains become a stage presenting incredible theatre where you can perch all afternoon and watch as a tropical mist coils and curls in and out of jutting rocks, tropical foliage and gigantic colors bursting in the valley below.  

The colors are hidden and revealed through gusts as the ancient mists breathe.   Deep, rich and so Kauai.  

Let's get in that car tomorrow and I'll drive you back up to the summit on that switchback road that never seems to want to end.  

But this time let's bring a lunch, some refreshments ... and, perhaps even a dinner for two.
