Die evangelische Johanneskirche in Weinsberg, eine im frühen 13. Jahrhundert erbaute romanische Basilika, ist die Kirche der evangelischen Kirchengemeinde Weinsberg. Bis zur Reformation diente die Johanneskirche nicht nur als Weinsberger Pfarrkirche, sondern war auch Hauptkirche des 1291 erstmals erwähnten Landkapitels Weinsberg des Bistums Würzburg. Seit Einführung der Reformation ist sie Hauptkirche des evangelischen Kirchenbezirks Weinsberg der Württembergischen Landeskirche (mit einer Unterbrechung von 1586 bis 1710, als es keinen Kirchenbezirk Weinsberg gab), und seit 1. Januar 2020 ist sie die Hauptkirche des aus den beiden bisherigen Kirchenbezirken Weinsberg und Neuenstadt am Kocher neu gebildeten Kirchenbezirks Weinsberg-Neuenstadt.

The Protestant Johanneskirche in Weinsberg, a Romanesque basilica built in the early 13th century, is the church of the Protestant parish of Weinsberg. Until the Reformation, the Johanneskirche served not only as a Weinsberg parish church, but was also the main church of the Weinsberg district chapter of the Würzburg diocese, first mentioned in 1291. Since the introduction of the Reformation, it has been the main church of the Protestant church district of Weinsberg of the Württemberg State Church (with an interruption from 1586 to 1710 when there was no church district of Weinsberg), and since January 1, 2020, it has been the main church of the two previous church districts of Weinsberg and Neuenstadt at the Kocher newly formed church district Weinsberg-Neuenstadt.
