            L’Ours noir d’Asie est aussi appelé Ours à collier à cause d’une bande de poils blancs sur la poitrine, en forme de « V » qui contraste fort avec le noir de sa fourrure. Habitant les forêts des zones montagneuses (notamment dans l’Himalaya), il vit en altitude (3000 m) en été et redescend dans les vallées pour hiberner. Un mâle adulte peut mesurer près de 2 m et peser 200 kg
