WW2: remnants of the Siegfried-line - a photo on Flickriver

The "Höckerlinie" in Orscholz (Saarland) was a concrete tank barrier, part of the Westwall (or Siegfried-line). It was constructed between 1938 and 1940 and consisted of bunkers, trenches and barriers to defend the western border of the German Empire, as a counterpart to the French Maginot Line. In Orscholz, a particularly well-preserved section of more than a kilometre was uncovered and made accessible via a path.
