            Locomotive, “Newstead”, built by the Hunslet Engine Company Ltd, Leeds, in 1929, is seen here, at Woolley Colliery, Darton, on 16/06/1967.

Built by Hunslet Engine Company Ltd, Leeds, to Works No.1589, in 1929, for the South Kirkby, Featherstone and Hemsworth Collieries Ltd, and believed to have been delivered new, to their Hemsworth Colliery, Fitzwilliam. The locomotive was transferred to Frickley Colliery, late in 1955, being returned back to Hemsworth Colliery, by the end of the same year. It was transferred from Hemsworth Colliery, to Woolley Colliery, between March and June 1965, and from here, it would be sold, to a Mr. M. Saul, of Ware, Hertfordshire, for preservation, on 10/07/1972.
