            Locomotive “N.C.B. No.5 Area, H.C. No.4”, built by Hudswell, Clarke and Company Limited, Leeds, in 1961, is seen here, at Barnsley Main Colliery, on 11/05/1965.

Built by Hudswell, Clarke and Company Limited, Leeds, to Works No.1893, in 1961, named as “N.C.B. No.5 Area, H.C. No.4”, and delivered new, to Barnsley Main Colliery. The locomotive was transferred from Barnsley Main Colliery, to Wombwell Colliery, near Barnsley, between May 1966, and April 1967, and from there, to Skiers Spring Colliery, on 18/11/1969. This locomotive was subsequently transferred, from Skiers Spring Colliery, to Titanic Salvage Company Ltd, Ellastone, Staffordshire, for scrapping, on 29/01/1977.
