Мы сидели в машине, уставшие и голодные, пока вокруг бушевала гроза, и шутили, вспоминая ослика Джанго. Дождь то усиливался, то совсем стихал, а мы смотрели в окно автомобиля, как в калейдоскоп, в котором узоры из туч складываются и распадаются вслед за каждым порывом ветра. Смотреть на это можно бесконечно, они асимметричны и завораживающие. Но увы, время нас подгоняло, да и обратный путь был не близкий. Мы выпили по чашечке кофе и отправились домой, наполненные эмоциями еще на долгое время вперед. Мы ехали по раскисшим горным дорожкам в долину в полной тишине, каждый из нас погрузился в свои собственные мысли. Я мысленно планировал следующую поездку туда, прикидывал, где остановлюсь и примерные маршруты для прогулок, когда машина остановилась и я заметил то, что было мне обещано. Мы стояли на посреди альпийских лугов, которые заканчивались ущельями и обрывами и вновь возникали в виде скалистых гор, которые нежно обнимают громадные тучи. Вроде бы все просто и в тоже время прекрасно. Перестать снимать я уже не мог, пришлось супруге тащить меня за рукав обратно в машину. Получился такой снимок, которым я завершаю небольшую серию про Дигорию, ставшей для меня тем местом, куда хочется вернуться, еще не уехав оттуда. И я обязательно вернусь туда, со всей своей фототехникой.

We sat in the car, tired and hungry, while a thunderstorm raged around us, and joked, remembering Django the donkey. We looked out the car window as if into a kaleidoscope, in which patterns of clouds formed and disintegrated following every gust of wind. You can look at these endlessly, they are asymmetrical and fascinating. But alas, time was pressing on us, and the return journey was not close. We drank a cup of coffee and started our way home, filled with emotions for a long time to come. We were driving down the muddy mountain paths into the valley in complete silence, each of us lost in his own thoughts. I was mentally planning my next trip there, figuring out where I would stay and approximate walking routes, when the car stopped and I noticed what was promised to me. We stood in the middle of alpine meadows, which ended in gorges and cliffs and reappeared in the form of rocky mountains that were gently embraced by huge clouds. It seems that everything is simple and at the same time wonderful. I couldn’t stop capturing; my wife had to drag me by the sleeve back to the car. The result is a photograph with which I complete a short series about Digoria, which has become for me the place where I want to return, even before leaving. And I will definitely return there, with all my photographic equipment.
