Beaucoup disaient cela dans les années 70, j'ai dû le répéter gamin, il n'y a pas de raison ! Ceci dit j'ai vite compris que de se faire conduire était bien plus agréable que d'avoir son attention fixée sur la route... Lire les pubs, regarder les passants,les vaches et le paysage qui défile... Un jour je n'ai pas eu le choix, j'ai donc passé mon permis à 35 ans...mon attention fixée sur la route adieu vaches, pubs et passants!

"La première voiturette, un vis-à-vis appelé la petite voiture, voit le jour mi 1899. Celle-ci a une suspension innovante à pont De Dion inventée par la firme en 1893. Ensuite, ce système célèbre sera utilisé par de nombreux constructeurs. Le Vis-à-vis est la première automobile fabriquée en grand nombre avec 2 970 exemplaires sortis jusqu'en 1902, ensuite les modèles vont s'enchainer. En 1900, De Dion-Bouton est le plus grand fabricant d'automobiles du monde. La société produit quatre-cents voitures et trois mille deux-cents moteurs cette année-là, car De Dion-Bouton est aussi un fournisseur de moteurs pour plus de cinquante marques dont Delage, Peugeot et Renault. Une usine est implantée à Brooklyn à New York pour desservir le marché américain. En 1904, l’usine de Puteaux dans les Hauts-de-Seine emploie 1 300 ouvriers et plus de 2 000 véhicules sont fabriqués à la main cette année-là.(...)
Comme Michelin à qui elle vend le brevet du fameux Guide au début du vingtième siècle, De Dion-Bouton publie des cartes routières, activité qui débute en 1900 et qui sera cédée à l'imprimeur Vermot en 1908."
