Jenkin Chapel, Saltersford, Cheshire

            St. John the Baptist, also known as Jenkin Chapel, was built by local farmers, using their own money, materials and skills in 1733. A tower was added to the chapel 20 years later.
Situated in an isolated position at the junction of three ancient salt routes, it is recorded on the National Heritage List for England as a Grade II listed building.
