Salvaging a bad spot - a photo on Flickriver

            The stretch of industrial railroad between Rybnik Towarowy and the coal mine Chwałowice provides you with the most traffic in the area, because you get trains from both of the mines located here aswell as the DB workshops. The only problem is - it doesn't have a lot of usable photo spots. What's a way to salvage such a situation when you know a train is coming? Of course - position yourself above it!

Our crew found a small place on a hill, where a bit of track was exposed and we could take a picture where at least some of the train is visible. Additionally, I climbed a tree to get a slightly better view of the train on the curve.

Minutes later we heard the whistling turbo of DB Cargo Poland's TEM2-233, which was negotiating the 1.4% gradient with an empty train from Rybnik Tow. to the coal mine Jankowice near Rybnik, all that in a pleasant, autumnal enviroment.
