Knockin’ on Heaven’s door - a photo on Flickriver

            Winchester and Western’s sandman shoves their train west to the sand mine in Gore, VA. Not even a month after this photo was taken the sand mine ceased operations, putting an end to revenue operations on the sandman branch, at least for outside of Winchester. Lite power moves still run to Gore as needed, since the railroad’s locomotive shops are located in Gore.
