My Meal Not Sharing - a photo on Flickriver

            Sitting for hours, waiting scanning the rocky clefts with binoculars, of the Mojave Desert country and listening for signs of stones being disturbed is a fun pastime, especially when it pays dividends! We had been coming here for a few days not hearing anything, but then a small tumble of loose rocks made us search more intently! Not easy to spot because they blend into the natural environment effortlessly! A solitary Bighorn Sheep is munching on a snack of Barrel Cactus! Using my Canon EOS XTi cautiously approached but kept a distance. I made more noise than he! He stopped munching to spot me. Clicked off a few shots and waited! Once he assumed I was no threat he turned to his feast! Blocking his eating with his rump! And I'm happy to share what I captured that day! No rump shots! Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Clark County, Nevada, USA.
