Union Pacific Officer's Special - a photo on Flickriver

            UP 4404 leads the Union Pacific officer's special PPVCB-05 past the Grant Tower wye in downtown Salt Lake City on April 5, 2023. This special train carries company executives and includes a deluxe sleeper, a dome lounge, a gourmet dining car, two business cars, and an inspection car in the rear. 

Unseasonable snow storms in the Mountain West meant the crew was unsure whether the train would work its way north to Ogden and then onto the Overland route through Wyoming, or south through Provo and then on the Rio Grande and Moffat routes towards Denver. Ultimately, their planned route took them north and then east.
